Art exhibitions showcase wood carving and diverse crafts in Japan

Various art exhibitions are being held across Japan, showcasing diverse creative disciplines. In Inzai City, wood carving artist Tajima Moe is holding a solo exhibition titled ‘Floating Souls’ at Gallery Warane from October 24 to 31. The exhibition features approximately 100 works, including artistic furniture and wood carving installations.

In Sakura City, the ‘U-CLID 9 EXHIBITION’ is currently underway at the Takizawa Family Residence, a designated prefectural cultural property. The exhibition brings together four artists from different fields, including painting, photography, ceramics, and guitar making. During the opening, guitarist Atsushi Takano performed using a ukulele crafted from local cherry blossom wood.
