Art festivals scheduled in Daejeon and Jeju
Various art festivals are scheduled to take place across South Korea, featuring diverse exhibitions, performances, and hands-on creative experiences.
In Daejeon, the 10th Seo-gu Art Festival will run for three days starting October 9 at Saemmeori Park and Boramae Park. The event includes an art market with 100 booths for painting and crafts, an art concert combining music and fine arts, and special exhibitions focusing on women, the disabled, and youth. Performances will feature artists such as Forestella, and the festival aims to integrate art into daily life through street performances and interactive programs.
In Jeju, the ‘ART & JEOJI 2026’ festival will be held from October 16 to 25 in the Jeoji Culture and Art Village. The program includes a traditional Gal-ot fashion show, atelier tours, and various creative workshops such as calligraphy, stone crafts, and persimmon dyeing. Cultural venues like the Jeju Modern Art Museum and the Kim Chang-yeol Museum of Art will host forest concerts and cinema nights, transforming the entire village into an expansive art space.
