Art festivals showcase regional creativity in Texas

The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show recently concluded at the The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. Produced by The Woodlands Arts Council, the event featured 60 juried artists and designers showcasing original jewelry, wearable design, sculpture, fine craft, and home décor.

In Richardson, the Cottonwood Art Festival is scheduled to return on October 3-4. The festival will host over 200 artists and includes live music and food. This year’s Fall Featured Artist is Tony Paraná, a Houston-based painter whose work explores themes of identity, family, and cultural heritage.
