Art initiatives launched in San Marino and San Benedetto
In San Marino, the Dogana Social Center is launching a painting course titled ‘Luci e ombre colorate’ (Colored Lights and Shadows) for children aged 8 to 12. Led by artist Cristiana Guidi, the five-week program begins on November 11, 2026, and focuses on teaching participants how to observe light and color through the use of dry artistic chalks.
In San Benedetto, Italy, an urban art project is underway to revitalize the Ormus Galleries. Once a vibrant shopping and social hub, the marble-clad galleries have fallen into a state of neglect and insecurity. To combat this degradation, Antonio Orione has partnered with the Asteras association to implement a redevelopment plan centered on urban art. Through the Urban Fest, artists including Crisa, Riccardo Mussone, and Sara Abad have begun creating murals focused on the theme of inclusivity, with plans to eventually utilize twelve designated art spaces within the galleries.
