Art Moving Center launches Shinkansen-based moving service in Japan

Art Moving Center has launched two new services, ‘Art de Mach Express’ and ‘Art de Nimo-shush!’, which utilize the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines to transport household goods. The service, which began on September 1, aims to significantly reduce moving times for small quantities of household items.

By leveraging the speed of the Shinkansen, items can be transported between major stations—including Tokyo, Nagoya, Shin-Osaka, Okayama, Hiroshima, and Hakata—with delivery to the new residence possible as early as the same day. This contrasts with traditional long-distance truck transport, which typically requires delivery on the following day or later.

The service is divided into two segments: ‘Art de Mach Express’ covers the route between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka, while ‘Art de Nimo-shush!’ covers the route between Shin-Osaka and Hakata. The initiative is a collaboration involving Art Moving Center, JR Central Group, and JR West Group, expanding Shinkansen-based logistics from primarily corporate use to individual residential moves.
