Art-O-Rama celebrates 20th anniversary in Marseille

The 20th anniversary edition of Art-O-Rama, an international contemporary art fair, took place in Marseille from August 28 to 30, 2026. Held primarily at the Friche la Belle de Mai cultural space, the event maintained its reputation for an experimental and less formal atmosphere compared to major fairs in Paris or Basel.

This year’s edition featured approximately 37 to 38 galleries representing 18 different countries. The fair saw significant participation from new exhibitors, with more than half of the participating galleries being first-time attendees, many of which have been established within the last five years. International representation included galleries from cities such as Tokyo, Lima, Sofia, Barcelona, Paris, London, and Berlin.

In addition to traditional art presentations, this anniversary edition introduced a new section dedicated to design. The event showcased a variety of works, ranging from ephemeral pieces made of biodegradable materials to immersive photography projects developed locally in Marseille.
