Art Point – Gumno hosts international photography colony in Sloeshtica

The 23rd edition of the international art colony Art Point – Gumno is taking place in Sloeshtica, North Macedonia, from August 12 to August 23. The theme for this year is ‘The Last Landscapes of Humanity’.

Seven representatives from the Liberec School of Photography (LŠF) in the Czech Republic are participating in the event. Professors Simona Pikous and Jana Huntrova, along with selected students, will conduct photographic documentation of the natural and cultural wealth of the Upper Demir Hisar region. This project aims to capture the authentic stories of the region's disappearing heritage.

In addition to the documentation, the visit includes discussions with local photographers and cultural educators to explore long-term cooperation, such as student exchanges and joint projects. The selected photographs will be showcased to the public during an ‘Open Studio’ event on August 22. The project is supported by the Macedonian Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
