Art Week NYC Launches Inaugural Festival Featuring 76 Leading Galleries
The inaugural Art Week NYC will run from November 11 to 14, bringing together 76 prominent contemporary art galleries across New York City. Participating galleries include David Zwirner, Hauser & Wirth, Gagosian, Pace Gallery, Lisson, Paula Cooper Gallery and many others, with programming spread across Chelsea, Tribeca, the Lower East Side and the Upper East Side.
The four‑day event is presented by Artforum, ARTnews and Art in America, with Artforum’s publisher Danielle McConnell noting, “Our vision for Art Week NYC began with the galleries…by bringing them together under one citywide platform, we’re creating an experience that reflects the strength and diversity of New York’s gallery community.” Additional activities feature exhibitions, openings, performances, artist talks, panels and live interviews, including a full‑day program in partnership with the New Museum and the ARTnews Hub.
The festival is organized under the PMX division of Penske Media Corp., aiming to showcase the city’s vibrant contemporary art scene.
