Art workshops and educational sessions scheduled in Japan

Various art education opportunities and workshops are being organized in Japan. Musashino Gakugei College will host trial lessons on August 22, 2026, for students interested in the Art and Design course. Participants can choose between oil painting sessions or analog illustration focusing on human anatomy, specifically faces and hands.

In Nabari, Mie Prefecture, Kanone Ishikawa, a third-year Japanese painting student at Osaka University of Arts, will hold a ‘Gentle Painting Class’ for adults on September 3 and 17. The workshops, held at the Energy With Hall training room, aim to make Japanese painting more accessible to the public. The sessions are limited to 10 participants per day with a fee of 1,000 yen.
