Arta and Nikolaos Skoufas implement housing and job program for homeless

The housing and vocational reintegration program for homeless individuals in the municipalities of Arta and Nikolaos Skoufas has successfully secured stable housing for all 16 participating households. The initiative, which involves 30 beneficiaries, began in November 2025 as part of the ‘Housing and Employment for the Homeless III’ scheme.

In addition to housing, the program provides personalized psychosocial support and connects participants with local social services to foster autonomy. Through collaboration with employment services, beneficiaries receive assistance with job searches, CV writing, and interview preparation. To date, three participants have been hired by local private businesses under contracts lasting up to twelve months.

The project is coordinated by the Municipality of Arta in cooperation with the Municipality of Nikolaos Skoufas, with management provided by the Psychosocial Research and Intervention Company. Funding is provided by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, while monitoring is conducted by OPΕΚΑ.
