Arta Municipal Swimming Pool to receive €849,400 upgrade

The Arta Municipal Swimming Pool is set to undergo a major upgrade funded by €849,400 through the Epirus Program. The decision was finalized by the Regional Governor of Epirus, Alexandros Kachdimis.

A primary focus of the project is improving accessibility for persons with disabilities (PWD). Planned interventions include the construction of access ramps, the installation of stair lifts for gym access, and the procurement of hydraulic lifts to facilitate entry and exit from the main swimming pool. Additionally, specialized exercise equipment for PWD will be provided.

The project also covers essential structural and technical modernization. This includes waterproofing and repairing the basement housing the boiler and engine rooms, upgrading electrical installations, and installing an automation system to control the heating of the swimming pools to ensure optimal and safe operation.
