Arta Open Mall project expected to finish by late August

The Arta Municipal Council recently discussed the progress of the Open Mall project and other urban developments funded by the Recovery Fund. Mayor Christoforos Siafakas stated that the Open Mall project is in its final stages and is expected to be largely completed by the end of August, though some minor finishing touches may follow.

Regarding delayed projects funded by the Recovery Fund, such as the local roundabout, the Mayor noted that the Ministry of Interior has directed that unfinished works be transitioned to other funding sources, such as the Public Investment Program (PDE).

Addressing criticisms regarding the architectural design of the Open Mall, Siafakas defended the project, noting it had passed through various architectural committees and competitions, while calling for public support for the completed work.
