Arte schedules livestream documentaries on Salzkammergut and Iceland marine treasures

Arte will broadcast two new documentaries via live streaming on its platform and partner Joyn. The 45‑minute film “Das Salzkammergut – Zwischen Wolfgangsee und Dachstein” airs on 31 July 2026 at 18:35 CET, with a simultaneous free livestream on the Arte Mediathek and Joyn.

The second documentary, “Island, seltsame Schätze aus dem Meer,” is scheduled for 6 August 2026 at 05:55 CET. It follows Icelandic fisherman Eymar and his crew as they harvest cod and sea cucumbers under strict quotas, highlighting the growing demand for sea‑cucumber products in China and the pharmaceutical sector. The programme is also available as a free livestream on the Arte Mediathek.

Both broadcasts illustrate Arte’s push to make regional cultural and environmental stories accessible online, offering viewers the option to watch live on smartphones, tablets, smart‑TVs or PCs.
