Arte series ‘Camarades’ airs finale amid speculation of a second season

The Arte series ‘Camarades’, a political fiction exploring the experimental University of Vincennes during the late 1960s, aired its epilogue on October 1, 2026. Starring Vincent Elbaz, Manon Kneusé, and Grégory Gadebois, the eight-episode mini-series depicts the revolutionary atmosphere and leftist utopias of the era.

Following the emotional finale, which depicts the eventual demolition of the university, viewers have questioned whether a second season will be produced. However, current information suggests the project was designed as a completed mini-series. Official listings on Arte.tv and IMDb categorize it as a mini-series, and no announcements regarding a sequel, filming schedule, or production intentions have been made by the channel or the production companies, Agat Films and Sunday Afternoon.
