Arteixo Telecom announces 318‑day ERTE for all staff in As Pontes

Arteixo Telecom, a Galician electronics company specializing in electronic cards for the aerospace, railway, energy and defence sectors, announced a 318‑day temporary lay‑off (ERTE) affecting its entire workforce of about 80 employees at the Penapurreira industrial park in As Pontes, A Coruña. The measure follows the April 2025 acquisition of Arteixo Telecom by Mirai Investments, which intends to integrate the firm into its Ohmnia electronics division.

The workers’ union UGT denounced the ERTE as "disproportionate" and demanded a job‑guarantee clause, warning that the suspension would have a huge impact on staff without future security. Employees staged a protest in front of the plant to press the company to rectify its stance and protect employment rights.
