ArTelesia Social Film Festival announces 18th edition in Benevento

The 18th edition of the ArTelesia Social Film Festival, an international social cinema competition, was presented at the Rocca dei Rettori in Benevento. Scheduled to take place from October 7 to 11, the festival aims to raise public awareness regarding disabilities and gender identity.

The theme for this year’s edition is ‘Heroes’, paying tribute to those who face difficulties with courage. The program includes a ‘Divabili’ section, which provides visibility to the works of directors, actors, and screenwriters with disabilities.

Additionally, the festival features the ‘Cortincarcere’ project, an initiative designed to bring cinema into the prisons of Benevento. This project involves inmates in the cinematic experience, with some being authorized to participate in external festival events.
