Artem Dovbyk reflects on Roma stint and future under Gasperini

Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk says a last‑minute call from former Roma captain Daniele De Rossi convinced him to join AS Roma, despite a previously near‑completed transfer to Atletico Madrid. He kept his word to De Rossi, was released after three matches and later scored 17 goals across a season that saw him work under three different coaches and suffer several injuries. Dovbyk described the campaign as a failure, noted he was close to signing for Milan in the summer and also considered West Ham, and now wants clarity on his role at Roma.
