Arteris and Abertis launch global startup challenge for highway safety

Arteris and Abertis have launched the third edition of the Safe Road Operations Challenge, a global competition aimed at startups and small to medium-sized technology enterprises. The initiative seeks innovative solutions to enhance the safety of highway workers and improve road infrastructure through technologies such as artificial intelligence, computer vision, and robotics.

The winning project will receive a €40,000 grant to implement a pilot program within the group's concessions, with the potential for international expansion. Three finalists will be announced on December 22, receiving €6,000 each. Applications are open until November 16, and selected participants will undergo an intensive development program in January, with the final winner to be revealed on February 23, 2027.
