Artesanos Metepec FC wins Copa Promesas opener

Artesanos Metepec FC secured a 2-0 victory against Orishas Tepeji FC in the opening round of the Copa Promesas. The match, held at the Unidad Deportiva Tepeji del Río in Hidalgo, saw the visiting team earn its first three points in Group 13.

Mauricio Dávila opened the scoring in the 30th minute to give the “Ola Morada” a 1-0 lead before halftime. In the second half, Orishas Tepeji FC increased their offensive pressure to find an equalizer, but Artesanos Metepec FC maintained defensive discipline. Geovani González sealed the win with a goal in the 75th minute.

Artesanos Metepec FC competes in Group 13 alongside Toluca Sub 21, Cordobés FC, and Orishas Tepeji FC. Following this result, the team will shift focus back to Liga Premier A, with an upcoming match scheduled against Ciervos FC.
