Arthur Atta's €30m Fiorentina move triggers solidarity payout for Rennes and Metz

Arthur Atta, a 23‑year‑old French midfielder, transferred from Udinese to Fiorentina on 11 July for a fee estimated at €30 million (some reports range €25‑30 million). He previously played for FC Metz and began his youth career at Stade Rennais.

FIFA’s solidarity mechanism deducts 5 % of the transfer amount and distributes it to clubs that trained the player between ages 12 and 23. The estimated solidarity pool is about €1.5 million, with the largest share expected for Metz (roughly €600‑€625 k) and a smaller portion for Rennes (around €250‑€300 k). The payments will arrive automatically and can be used for club operations.
