Arthur Cabral reaches career-high 17-game goal drought at Botafogo

Botafogo striker Arthur Cabral has extended his goal drought to 17 matches, marking the longest scoring slump of his professional career. During the recent match against Remo in Belém do Pará, which Botafogo lost 2-1, Cabral played the full 90 minutes but failed to score or provide an assist.

Cabral had a significant opportunity to end the streak in the first half when he struck a header from a Telles cross, but the ball hit the crossbar. He has not scored since May 17, when he recorded a hat-trick against Corinthians.

This period of inactivity follows a previous 15-game drought during the 2025 season. His previous career high for consecutive games without a goal occurred in 2022 while playing for Fiorentina in Italy, where he went 11 games without scoring.
