Arthur Dias reveals near move to Internacional

Arthur Dias, a 19-year-old defender for Athletico-PR and member of the Brazilian national team, revealed that he nearly joined Internacional early in his career.

During an interview with ge, Dias explained that at age 14, he was offered a contract and housing in Porto Alegre if he failed an evaluation at Athletico-PR. Despite the concrete offer to move with his parents, he chose to remain with the Athletico-PR project.

Originally a futsal player who played as a forward, Dias transitioned to a defender at age 15 following a recommendation from coach Rodrigo Bellão. He noted that his path included facing dismissal lists before eventually consolidating his position at the club.
