Arthur Fils enters ATP Top 10 and navigates Tokyo qualifiers

Arthur Fils has entered the ATP Top 10, reaching the world number 9 ranking. He is the first Frenchman to achieve this milestone since Gaël Monfils in 2020 and Lucas Pouille in 2018.

Despite his high ranking, Fils was forced to compete in the qualifying rounds of the ATP 500 tournament in Tokyo due to an administrative error where he missed the registration deadline for the main draw. He successfully navigated the qualifiers, defeating Martin Damm and Kamil Majchrzak to secure his place in the main competition.

In the same tournament, Stefanos Tsitsipas also successfully progressed through the qualifying rounds to enter the main draw.
