Arthur Hayes predicts Ethereum could reach $10,000 by year-end

Arthur Hayes, the founder of BitMEX and current CEO of Flop Labs, has predicted that Ethereum (ETH) could reach $10,000 by the end of the year. Speaking at Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul, Hayes noted that such a price would represent a significant increase from its current valuation near $2,700.

Hayes attributed Ethereum’s recent periods of underperformance to shifting market narratives, specifically noting that competitors like Solana have captured attention through trends such as memecoins. He suggested Ethereum became a victim of its own success, noting that its scale led to slower performance compared to newer competitors.

Despite these challenges, Hayes maintains that Ethereum remains his preferred cryptocurrency due to its security. He emphasized that its high market capitalization makes it a safer destination for large amounts of capital, as it is less susceptible to massive losses from potential exploits compared to other networks.
