Arthur Piedfort struggles with Ligue 1 intensity

Arthur Piedfort, the 21-year-old midfielder who moved from Westerlo to Auxerre, has expressed difficulty adjusting to the high intensity of France's Ligue 1. Following a 5.5 million euro transfer—the most expensive in Auxerre's history—the Belgian international has secured a starting position but noted that the pace of the French league is significantly higher than in the Jupiler Pro League.

Piedfort admitted in an interview with Het Nieuwsblad that he is still working to reach the level he displayed at Westerlo, citing the constant high tempo of matches in France as a primary challenge.
