Arthur Virgílio Neto proposes new public policies for single mothers

Arthur Virgílio Neto, a candidate for federal deputy, has proposed expanding public policies to support single mothers as a priority for national development. During a meeting with residents in the Armando Mendes neighborhood of Manaus, the candidate discussed the challenges faced by women raising children alone, including limited access to public services, lack of job opportunities, and difficulties balancing work with childcare.

Neto’s proposed framework moves beyond emergency assistance toward a permanent support network. Key measures include increasing access to childcare facilities with hours compatible with professional schedules, improving healthcare access, providing professional training, and promoting job and income generation. He also emphasized the importance of dignified housing and food security as essential components for family stability and female autonomy.
