Artience unveils new GEO strategies for the AI search era
At the ‘Search SEOul 2026’ conference, digital marketing firm Artience presented new strategic frameworks for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) to address the shift toward AI-driven search environments.
Artience CEO Kang Mu-jin introduced a ‘3-Layer GEO Architecture’ designed to help brand content be selected and cited by AI models. This structural approach moves beyond fragmented tactics, building upon SEO fundamentals to include ‘Common GEO’ for establishing credibility and ‘Platform-Level GEO’ to adapt to the specific algorithms of platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity.
Additionally, Artience Director Choi Yoon-hee emphasized that effective GEO must move beyond simple brand mentions. She advocated for ‘knowledge structuring’ and the use of ‘ontologies’ to connect brands, products, and user contexts. This method aims to ensure that AI does not just find a brand, but understands the specific reasoning required to recommend it to a user in a given situation.
