Artificial intelligence advances through Meta hardware and Suno music tools

Developments in generative artificial intelligence are shifting from experimental tools to integrated consumer products. At Meta Connect 2026, Meta showcased advancements aimed at making AI an essential part of daily life. These include improved Ray-Ban smart glasses with accessibility features for vision and hearing, and the announcement of Meta VR Glasses, an ultralight virtual reality headset scheduled for release in spring 2027. Additionally, Meta introduced Muse, an advanced personal AI assistant designed to accompany users through various activities.

In the music industry, the launch of Suno V6 marks a significant transition in how AI interacts with composition and production. The V6 platform offers users greater creative control, allowing for the editing of specific song segments using natural language. The system includes several tiers: the flagship V6 model for Pro and Premier subscribers, V6-wild for experimental results, and V6-mini for faster, general use. This technology enables users to generate complete musical pieces by describing genres, instrumentation, and atmosphere.

While tech companies focus on hardware and seamless integration, social scientists are examining the broader implications. The Mexican Council for Social Sciences (COMECSO) recently held research sessions in Mexico City to analyze the impact of AI, social networks, and big data from a sociological perspective.
