However, relationship researcher Amie M. Gordon warns that there is currently no scientific formula capable of reliably predicting whether two specific individuals will experience romantic chemistry. While AI can effectively filter for practical compatibility—such as views on religion, lifestyle, location, or desire for children—it struggles to account for the unpredictable nature of human attraction once people meet in person.

There is also a risk that algorithms may reinforce superficial habits. If a user consistently swipes on a specific aesthetic type, the system may mistake this pattern for true compatibility. Experts suggest that AI should be treated as a tool for filtering essential life values rather than a predictor of emotional connection, as real relationships are built through interaction and behavior that technology cannot fully simulate.
