Artisans in Poland preserve cultural traditions through crafts and murals

In Stryszawa, Józef Lasik continues a multi-generational tradition of crafting wooden toys. For over forty years, Lasik and his family have produced moving wooden figures, including birds, horses, and cows. Having learned the craft from his father-in-law, Józef Mentel, Lasik became a member of the Association of Folk Creators in 1982 and has participated in various folk art fairs across Poland.

In the Słupca region, Marta Ławniczak uses art as a means of creative expression and community contribution. Her work includes creating harvest wreaths, floral compositions, and painting murals, such as her recent project in Trąbczyn. She also contributes to local aesthetics by painting bus stops in the Zagórów municipality.
