Artist aico to host iLodorical Festa in Mie

Artist aico will host ‘iLodorical Festa 2026’ on September 27, 2026, at the Mie Prefectural Comprehensive Cultural Center. The event serves as a culmination of six years of creative work, featuring an eight-stage experiential fashion show that integrates fashion, music, lighting, video, and art into a single narrative.

A central element of the showcase is the ‘bom_bom_dress,’ a line of ‘wearable art’ created from wrapping paper. These garments are designed to be highly adaptable, changing shape and expression based on the individual wearer. The project aims to allow wearers to discover and express their own unique potential through the medium of paper.

The artist’s work has already gained international attention; in March 2026, Yuuko Akiyama, a member of LOVE UNLIMITED, wore a gold dress incorporating Japanese obi materials and three-dimensional decorations on the runway of the SMGlobal Catwalk Fashion Week Gala during Paris Fashion Week.
