Artist Arnau Sánchez Campamà Wins Canillo Mural Competition in Andorra
Arnau Sánchez Campamà was selected as the winner of a competition launched by the municipality of Canillo to design and execute a mural at the entrance of the Vall d'Incles. The €3,000 prize covers the concept, production, materials and full installation of the artwork, which is slated to be completed in the coming weeks and is expected to become a new point of interest for visitors.
Mayor Jordi Alcobé and councillor Coia Torres presented the award, noting that the strong response from participants and citizens shows the public’s interest in projects that combine culture, community involvement and territorial promotion. The jury evaluated artistic quality, landscape integration, technical feasibility and material durability; Sánchez Campamà’s proposal received the highest combined score, with 186 votes (69% of the total).
The artist has also recently been recognised with the Sergi Mas prize for young artists, highlighting his growing reputation in the regional art scene.
