Artist Fátima de Juan will create a mural in Cañada Rosal as part of the third edition of PLAZES, a mural art program organized by the Department of Culture and Citizenship of the Diputación de Sevilla. The initiative, curated by Delimbo, aims to use contemporary muralism to intervene in territories by creating a dialogue between artists and the local history, landscape, and communities.
The 2026 edition expands the project to five municipalities in the province, including Morón de la Frontera, Paradas, El Castillo de las Guardas, and El Pedroso. In Cañada Rosal, the intervention will be located on a newly constructed wall next to the municipal swimming pool.
Fátima de Juan, an artist based in Mallorca, focuses her visual universe on the female figure, drawing from graffiti and illustration heritage. She noted the importance of the human scale in urban art projects, stating they are “for everyone,” and expressed her enthusiasm for participating as the first female artist from outside Andalusia in this edition.
