Artist Hà Vy achieves top honors in vocal music studies

People's Artist Hà Vy, born in 1956 in Hai Phong, has achieved distinction by graduating as the top student for both entrance and exit exams in the vocal music department at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2003. At the age of 47, she pursued formal professional training despite her established career.

Throughout her career, Hà Vy has been known for songs related to soldiers and border regions, performing with the People's Public Security Performing Arts Troupe and the Border Guard Performing Arts Troupe. Her notable works include ‘Tiếng Súng Đã Vang Trên Bầu Trời Biên Giới’ and ‘Hoa Sim Biên Giới’.

In 1986, she gained recognition for performing music from the ‘Journey to the West’ series during an exchange program in China. Despite not knowing Chinese, she mastered the performance by studying original recordings and working with Hoàng Vĩnh Giang, then Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, to refine her pronunciation.
