Artist Kim Cương to hold tribute performance for audience

Meritorious Artist Kim Cương will hold a tribute performance for her audience on August 22 at Hoa Vien Binh Duong. At nearly 89 years old, the veteran artist organized the event to express gratitude to the public that has supported her career for over seventy years.

The program, directed by Dr. MC Le Huu Luan, features a wide array of veteran artists from the Cai Luong and spoken drama stages, including Meritorious Artists Thanh Tuan, Minh Vuong, Thanh Dien, Thanh Nam, and Que Tran, as well as Meritorious Artist Huu Chau. The performance will include excerpts from famous works associated with Kim Cương, such as ‘La sau rieng’ and ‘Tay Thi’.

According to the general director, the event is a gathering for artists to honor their profession, remember deceased colleagues, and thank their audience rather than seeking new fame. The event is free to the public, with shuttle services provided from designated points in Ho Chi Minh City.
