Artist Kiều Oanh clarifies professional seniority in Vietnamese entertainment

Artist Kiều Oanh has drawn public attention after clarifying the professional hierarchy among several prominent Vietnamese performers. During a media interaction, she stated that while Hồng Đào is a senior, Việt Hương is her junior in the industry.

Kiều Oanh, originally from An Giang, established her career in the 1990s through 'cải lương' (reformed opera) before transitioning into spoken drama and comedy in Ho Chi Minh City. She gained recognition for her vocal abilities and physical comedy, winning a Gold Medal at the National Professional Stage Festival in 1995. She is also known for her role in the 1997 film 'Đất phương Nam'. After moving to the United States in the early 2000s, she continued her artistic career performing for overseas Vietnamese audiences.
