Ema Dujmović opens China‑themed exhibition in Zagreb

Fourteen‑year‑old Croatian artist Ema Dujmović inaugurated a solo show at the Gallery Vladimira Horvata in Zagreb, presenting more than 40 works inspired by Chinese art and calligraphy. The opening attracted high‑level diplomatic and cultural guests, including Chinese ambassador Qi Qianjin, Samobor mayor Petra Škrobot, Confucius Institute director Prof. Haiyan Yang and other Croatian officials.

Dujmović, the youngest exhibitor in the gallery’s history, has studied Chinese language for nine years and is the youngest permanent student of the university’s Confucius Institute. She described her works as a bridge between Croatian and Chinese cultures, aiming to convey the beauty and spirit of China to viewers.

The exhibition, titled “Chinese Art and Calligraphy,” underscores cultural exchange and highlights the artist’s international achievements, including awards in several countries.
