Artist Stephen Wong partners with nodi for Hong Kong trail art project

Artist Stephen Wong has collaborated with local boutique coffee brand nodi to launch “the trail of connection,” an art project that brings Hong Kong’s iconic hiking trails to everyday objects. The collection features ten different designs depicting landscapes from trails such as Dragon's Back, Tai Mo Shan, Lion Rock, and Tai Tung Shan.

To make art more accessible and interactive, the project includes specialized stickers featuring elements like trees, cyclists, and lighthouses. These allow consumers to engage in “secondary creation” by customizing the coffee cups. The collaboration also extends to lifestyle products, including T-shirts and tote bags.

Wong, whose works are held in collections such as the Hong Kong Museum of Art and Jesus College, Oxford, transitioned from creating virtual landscapes inspired by video games to sketching local natural scenery. The project aims to bridge the gap between fine art and the general public through functional, daily items.
