Artist Studio to rename itself as Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung shift business roles

Artist Studio, a drama production company originally established with the names of actors Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung, is set to undergo a significant rebranding. According to regulatory filings, the company plans to hold an extraordinary general meeting on the 26th to vote on changing its name to ‘Studio Ssolssol’.

The move follows recent changes in the business structures of the two prominent actors. Lee Jung-jae recently sold approximately 5.5 billion won worth of his shares in Artist Studio to Studio Gidam, reducing his stake from 5.04% to approximately 0.83% following subsequent capital increases. Additionally, Jung Woo-sung has resigned from his position as an internal director at Artist Company, a separate legal entity.

While Jung maintains a 10.99% stake in Artist Company and remains an actor under the firm, the shift marks a departure from the business model that centered on the two actors' names. The upcoming shareholder meeting will also address business diversification, including adding exhibition, convention, and art-related content to the company's official business objectives.
