Artistic education and performing arts programs expand in Andalusia

In Seville, the 2026/27 academic year for special regime artistic and language teachings has commenced. A total of 12,358 students are enrolled in the province, including 11,618 in special regime programs such as music, dance, languages, sports, plastic arts, and design. Additionally, 740 students are pursuing higher artistic studies. The Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (ESAD) de Sevilla is hosting 259 students across 30 groups.

In Granada, the Teatro Alhambra has launched its Didactic Cycle for Educational Centers for the 2026/27 term. The initiative offers nine diverse performing arts proposals—including theater, dance, circus, and puppetry—aimed at school children and youth. The program features various works addressing themes such as aesthetic pressure, memory, and cultural journeys, with tickets priced at a special rate of 6 euros for educational institutions.
