Italy hosts diverse contemporary art and photography exhibitions

Italy is hosting a diverse series of cultural and artistic events across various cities. In Milan, the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi will present an exhibition by Bertozzi & Casoni from September 18 to October 25, 2026, exploring themes of memory and materiality through hyperrealistic ceramics.

In Venice, the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa is hosting “Ogni pittura è paesaggio” from September 24 to November 21, 2026, featuring artists Eric Pasino, Chiara Peruch, and Jacopo Zambello. Additionally, David Phoenix will hold an event at Spazio Berlendis on September 26.

Photography is highlighted at Camera, which will host a major retrospective of Letizia Battaglia’s work from October 17, 2026, to February 7, 2027, alongside a solo exhibition by Davide Tranchina. In Cagliari, the “Walls of Street Art” exhibition by Michele Cara opens at the Lazzaretto until October 11.

Other notable events include Valerio Zezur winning the Badoer Giacomo Matteotti Prize in Fratta Polesine, Vincenzo Frattini’s exhibition at AD Dal Pozzo Galleria d'Arte in Padova starting October 2, and the Museo della Bora in Opicina celebrating its first anniversary with climate change-focused workshops and exhibitions.
