Artistic exhibitions opening in Ville-Marie and Nantes

Two distinct immersive art exhibitions are scheduled to open in late 2026.

In Ville-Marie, the Centre d’exposition du Rift will host ‘Entre poésie et chaos’ by multidisciplinary artist Francine Plante Pokio from November 20, 2026, to January 9, 2027. The installation uses contrasting elements, such as colorful lotus flowers and plaster babies alongside hundreds of firearm shell casings, to explore themes of vulnerability, violence, and healing. The work serves as a culmination of a creative process the artist began following the death of her partner in 2008.

In Nantes, France, the Lieu Unique will present ‘Traverser !’, an experience designed by Nicolas Clauss running from October 23, 2026, to January 10, 2027. The exhibition features over 200 portraits of Nantes residents filmed during their daily lives, moving from macro views of silhouettes in crowds to micro views of individual facial expressions and gestures.
