Artistic initiatives highlighted in Serbia and Croatia

In Serbia, Tijana Bogojević has successfully combined her professional background as a master educator with her passion for painting to launch a face-painting business in Kraljevo. After struggling to find work in her field, she began offering face painting at children's birthdays in 2018, a service that was previously rare in her city. Her work requires balancing artistic skill with the speed necessary to manage groups of children.

In Croatia, the 39th Mandrać international painting competition took place in Volosko. The event featured various artistic techniques and works, including mandalas and local motifs such as the 'Volosko cat'. The jury, led by academic painter Claudio Frank, evaluated entries in several categories, including the Mandrać – Mandracchio 2026 and Ex Tempore categories, as the community prepares for the 40th anniversary of the competition.
