Artists and designers launch charity initiatives for earthquake relief

Various artistic and fashion initiatives are raising funds to support victims of recent earthquakes in Colombia and Venezuela.

In Colombia, a solidarity auction featuring exclusive pieces from prominent designers—including Johanna Ortiz, Silvia Tcherassi, and Agua Bendita—is underway. The auction includes high-end fashion items, accessories, and art pieces. Proceeds will be channeled through the Fundación Presentes to assist affected families and support reconstruction efforts following the earthquake on August 10.

In Venezuela, the ‘Bazar de Arte por Venezuela’ is hosting an online exhibition and bazaar to aid those impacted by the June 24 earthquakes. The initiative involves approximately 22 Venezuelan and international artists, including Orianna Montenegro, who is contributing works from her ‘Contigo desde lejos’ series. The funds are being coordinated and distributed by the NGO Nexos.
