Jordanian artist Fouad Hegazy has passed away at the age of 75 at Al-Hussein Medical City in Amman following a struggle with illness. His career spanned over five decades, beginning with the Jordanian Radio music department in 1965. He was known for his contributions to folk, national, and religious songs, as well as his film roles in Damascus and Beirut between 1969 and 1975.

In Egypt, the family of folk singer Hijazi Metkal announced the death of his mother on Saturday, August 22. The funeral took place at the Al-Hijaz Mosque in Heliopolis, and condolences are being received at the same location. Hijazi Metkal comes from a prominent musical family, continuing the legacy of his late father, Metqal Qenawi, a well-known figure in Egyptian folk music.
