Artists share emotional moments during ‘Beste Zangers’ recordings

Artists participating in the latest season of the AVROTROS program ‘Beste Zangers’ have shared emotional experiences during the recordings. Several performers, including jazz singer Fay Claassen and former 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor frontwoman Desray, admitted to struggling to hold back tears while listening to their peers perform reinterpretations of their songs.

Desray expressed that being invited to the NPO 1 program was a major dream, noting that the experience allows her music to receive the attention it deserves following her departure from her eurodance group and her recent battles with breast cancer. Other participants, such as Yves Berendse and 26-year-old Zoë Livay, also commented on the intense emotional impact of the show's concept, which highlights the personal stories and depth behind the music.
