Artists sign Marevivo manifesto to defend the sea

Ten national and international artists have signed the ‘Manifesto of Artists for the Sea’ presented by the Marevivo Foundation at the Scalo de Pinedo in Rome. The document utilizes art as a universal language to urge governments and citizens to protect marine environments, nature, and biodiversity.

The signatories, which include Michelangelo Pistoletto and Ely Phenix, are calling on the Italian government to effectively implement the ‘SalvaMare’ Law. The initiative draws inspiration from 20th-century artistic manifestos to create a collective commitment to environmental preservation.
