Arts festivals Taiteiden Yö scheduled for Hämeenlinna and Salo
Regional arts festivals, Taiteiden Yö, are scheduled to take place in Hämeenlinna and Salo, Finland.
In Hämeenlinna, the event on August 28 features over 30 scheduled activities, including musical performances ranging from pop and folk to country-influenced music. Highlights include the opening of the Kulmaklubi season and a silent street dance parade. Organizers expect the program to reach approximately 40 events.
In Salo, the eighth annual Taiteiden Yö will be held on August 27, organized by EtnoSalo ry. The festival features nearly 100 participants and includes a colorful opening parade. New for this year is the 'Lasten Yä' (Children's Night) program at Länsiranta, supported by the Juha Punta Foundation, which offers circus arts and workshops for children. Due to the festivities, several streets in central Salo, including parts of Helsingintie and Länsiranta, will face traffic closures.
