Arts Martiaux Combat hosts self-defense workshop for Octobre Rose

As part of the Octobre Rose awareness campaign, the Arts Martiaux Combat (AMCM) association held a women's self-defense workshop at the Pouloux gymnasium in Montceau-les-Mines. Led by expert Laëtitia Lesavre and assisted by dojo instructors, the session taught simple techniques such as escapes and locks designed to create opportunities to flee during an aggression. The workshop also included a relaxation session led by Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong instructor Pierre Hannir.

Although focused on female self-defense, the event was open to men. The association, presided over by Jean-François Aymar, has organized this type of workshop every October for 15 years. Following the event, the club will donate 300€ to the Ligue contre le cancer, collected through voluntary participant contributions. A second workshop is planned for March to coincide with International Women's Rights Day.
