ART&TUR International Tourism Film Festival heads to Ovar

The 19th edition of ART&TUR – International Tourism Film Festival will take place in Ovar from October 27 to 30, 2026. Organized by the Centro de Portugal Film Commission in partnership with Turismo Centro de Portugal and the Municipality of Ovar, the festival serves as an international meeting point for filmmakers, tourism professionals, and researchers.

This year's competition features 247 film submissions from 45 countries, with footage captured in 68 nations across five continents. A selection of 51 films from 25 countries will be screened at the Escola de Artes e Ofícios de Ovar. The program includes national productions and works from countries such as Germany, Argentina, Japan, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.

In a related promotional effort, Turismo Centro de Portugal has released a new film as part of its “Centro de Portugal. Desapareça um Bocadinho” campaign. Filmed in Nazaré, the production reorganizes imagery from 17 previous films to create a new, autonomous narrative. The campaign aims to promote the region's diversity and emotional experiences to both domestic and international markets.
